Flexible multi-level approval workflows
Create approval routes that match how your organization works, track every step clearly, and keep requests moving when an approval route needs administrative attention.
Configurable multi-level approvals
PeopleEvo Professional now supports configurable approval policies with multiple sequential approval levels.
Approval stages can use:
- Group Approvers
- Specific Employees
- A combination of both
A specific employee can also be the first approver, giving you more flexibility in how approval routes are designed.
Approval progress
Leave requests can now show their full submitted approval route, including:
- Completed approval levels
- The current approval stage
- Upcoming stages
- Backup confirmation
- Skipped stages and other workflow history, where applicable
This makes it easier for employees and approvers to understand exactly where a request is in the process.
Workflow Issues
A new Workflow Issues area helps authorized administrators resolve approval workflows that cannot continue.
When an approval stage becomes blocked, administrators with the appropriate permission can:
- Replace the unavailable approver
- Skip the blocked stage with a required reason
- Review the approval route and intervention history
Workflow administration is kept separate from normal approval authority, so resolving a blocked workflow does not make the administrator the approver.
Backup confirmation before approvals
When backup confirmation is required, it now completes before the approval workflow begins.
This ensures required coverage is confirmed before the first approver is asked to make a decision.
More flexible approval routing
Approval policies no longer require a Group Approver as the first approval level.
Routes can now support configurations such as:
- Specific Employee → Specific Employee
- Specific Employee → Group Approver
- Group Approver → Specific Employee
- Mixed multi-level approval routes
Existing approval routes continue to behave normally.
